A quiet workshop kept for the neighbourhood — bringing good pieces back to their first life, one welt, one heel, one seam at a time.

§ 01 · The Bench

An older craft, kept quietly at the corner.

We keep an older trade — patient, exact, and quiet enough that most people miss us until a favourite pair asks to be saved.

We work on fine footwear and leather handbags for the neighbourhood — the boots you've walked in for a decade, the courts you married in, the bag your mother carried. Everything is done onsite, at the bench, by the same hands from intake to polish.

No shipping out. No mystery. Bring the piece in, tell us what happened, and we'll tell you honestly what it will cost, how long it will take, and whether it's worth doing at all.

§ 02 · The Ledger

What we can do at the bench.

i.

Sole replacement

Footwear

Worn-through leather and rubber soles rebuilt in kind. Full-sole, half-sole, or a protective topping — matched in weight and colour to how the pair was made.

ii.

Heel recovery & lifts

Footwear

Worn heels rebuilt, top-lifts replaced, block heels reshaped. Height and pitch preserved — you shouldn't feel a change when you walk out.

iii.

Stitch & edge

Footwear · Handbag

Blown seams re-sewn by hand and by machine, edges dressed and inked, welts tightened. The small repairs that keep a piece from becoming a bigger job later.

iv.

Zipper repair & replacement

Handbag

Broken pulls, split coils, and stuck sliders. Full replacement in matching weight and finish when the original is beyond saving.

v.

Handbag restoration

Handbag

Handles re-wrapped, corners reinforced, linings replaced, hardware rehung. Discreet work on fine leather goods — nothing altered that can't be justified.

vi.

Colour & leather work

Footwear · Handbag

Scuffs, scratches, and colour loss brought back in tone. Conditioning and finish work that respects the original patina, not covers it up.

§ 03 · The Standing
